★☆☆☆☆ Game holds you hostage with ads that never end, you can only play one game, before the ads stop you. zzz97 · 7 Jun 2026There are laws regarding how long advertisements can take your time and prevent you from playing your games. We’re doing whatever it is. You’re doing on your phone. They are required to release you after a certain amount of time. However, on this app, after playing only ONE game of solitaire, Suspicious ads, recommending other games take control of the entire app and they do not let you leave. Not even if you wait for hours. They essentially give you only one option, to go to the App Store and download the app that they are advertising, which is likely full of Malware. There’s no countdown, th

ere is no X to close the advertisement. You can never play Solitaire on this app again unless you buy the ad free version. So this app is only good for one game. You might think that you could close the app and start over, but no. It remembers. Once you have played one game of solitaire, you are locked out of this app unless you pay, and they psychologically traumatize you with the advertisements to try and force you to comply. It’s a scam. Will not be reinstalling.Developer reply · 30 Jul 2026Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! Please report any problematic ads to our team directly in the app. Go to Menu > Help > Help > then tap the message button in the upper-right corner or bottom of the screen. Type "report ad" & we'll take it from there. Please have a screenshot of the ad & the time it appeared. Thank you! ♥️♣️♦️♠️ -
★★★☆☆ If you haven’t updated in the last 5 months - DON’T! FinklstienSK · 10 Aug 2024This used to be our go-to Solitaire game - it was fast, free, and wasn’t saddled with a bunch of unnecessary animations and time-wasters that exist now in the most recent version. At some point in the past 6 months or so, the card dealing animations became rather ‘jerky’ at times. I could live with the visual ticks, because the rest of things were working OK… you could start a new game, and if you didn’t like what you were dealt, you could get another new game instantly. That is no longer the case, unfortunately. During one of the more recent ‘bug fixes and enhancements’ misnomers, a new game

mode was introduced, and along with it came A 15-20 SECOND DELAY in the form of 4 suits, animated over some cutsie sayings, like “Hiding Aces…” and other similarly unneeded attempts at… IDK what. Note that the delay has been introduced for each of the game modes where you may request a new game. This drops my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Update: August 2024 They did allow a brief return to Landscape mode on iPhone, but that’s been 86’d in the past few months. Also the animated delay in dealing a new hand disappeared for a while. Unfortunately, it also has returned. Recommendation: if you like the way it’s working for you, NEVER update it. -
★☆☆☆☆ Cannot win skaguest · 6 Dec 2021I had this app for months, and was never bothered by the ads like some other reviewers. However, I played 294 games and won only about 87 of them. This is not an exaggeration. Like another reviewer said, you might just respond “well, you aren’t good at solitaire then”. Au contraire. You will reach the point where even the hints do not give you actual hints to win. I would even pass the phone to my mom at times to see if she could find any tangible winning moves - alas, it we were both stumped. The game deals out cards in a way where winning becomes impossible for what feels like 9/10 games. In

the beginning of having this app, I won a lot more, so I am curious if the longevity of how long you’ve had this app downloaded simultaneously decreases the likelihood of you winning based on some algorithm in the app. I would say about 80% of the games I played were unwinnable. I don’t mind a challenge, if anything it makes the game more fun, but there is a difference between a challenge and a game you simply cannot win. To preserve your sanity, please download another solitaire game. On another note, I did download this developer’s Mahjong app, and you’ll find that those games are quite winnable.Developer reply · 14 Dec 2021Hey skaguest, we use a randomization algorithm to generate games which has not changed in years. The ratio of winnable games is 9:10, but some games are more challenging than others, sometimes requiring a few rounds of "Replay." Solitaire is a game of both skill and chance, it is easy to encounter both winning and losing streaks! -
★★★★★ Solitaire Queqeg · 24 Aug 2021Is a very old game and is credited to some amazing things. Great for the mind which is also great for the body. It keeps you going forward. It’s great for relieving stress. So its my understanding that some credit is given to solitaire for the development of the Periodic Table. The thing with solitaire it brings order to caous. For me I can remember parents and grandparents playing what they call Old Saul at the kitchen table. Claiming that its good medecine. I think it teaches sometimes the cards that we are dealt is just the way things are. In many times with life and solitaire it seems t

hat we have a very bad draw and we don’t see how this can come together. The fact is if we stay at it and do certain things that it can not only come together but can come together in a big way. Which brings me to some quotes that my parents would say,” I’ve seen sicker dogs get well” or “Where there’s a will there us a way.”Developer reply · 23 Aug 2021Thanks for reviewing Solitaire, Queqeg! -
★☆☆☆☆ What the heck are they tracking? pony 444444 · 15 Jul 2021So, I downloaded several solitaire games, as it is a mind soother for me. I liked the interface on this one best, so deleted the others, and was kind of happy. There is no reason that this program should EVER need to connect to the internet, I had solitaire on a computer before the world got access to the internet, and it worked just fine without an internet connection back then, solitaire hasn’t changed, so they are just taking advantage of me, forcing me to connect and watch the stupid ads, but it was a bargain with the devil I was willing to live with. Then, all the wifi stuff in the hou

se got wonky, nothing worked, because our bandwidth was flooded. I was afraid of somebody piggybacking our internet or a trojan or some other hacker hijacking my system, so we brought out the big guns, ping trackers, bandwidth analysis, everything.... and it traced back to the IPad with solitaire on it. We removed ALL programs, except base Apple, the traffic use disappeared. Added programs back, one at a time, when we got to solitaire, traffic was BAAAACKKK, so, I don’t know what they are up to, don’t care, as long as it doesn’t include ME, and the resources I am paying for, so getting rid of this and taking the time to dig out the old, internet free solitaire program, resetting my iPad and NEVER getting anything from these guys ever again. Too expensive!Developer reply · 27 Jul 2021Hey pony, we apologize for any distress caused. To keep Solitaire free, we have ad networks within the game which require network / wifi connectivity. If you are interested in playing without internet, we recommend considering the ad-free version which can be played offline and without ad networks. Here is a link to access the ad-free version which is a one time payment: brainiumsolitaire://disableads -
★★★★★ Still a touch screen play issue but, still great! FedUpWithTech! · 14 Oct 2020First of all, this is the Best solitaire game app on the market, bar none! But, my one complaint that gets totally in the way, an actual physical obstacle is how I am using a quick touch to send cards onto other corresponding cards that is a great automatic feature allowing for some seriously fast timed play! But, that is also the issue where I am on an older iPhone to my newest iPhone and both touchscreen play responses frequently causes the card to lift but not send or transfer that card to the other as needed to continue on to the next split-second card to play; I am constantly having to

return to the previously unsuccessful card not autoplaying on-demand as needed and frustratingly needing to tap several times to finally get it to pass over to the next card??!! I still give this game a fifth star just for the game’s great graphics and is the beat on the market!Developer reply · 11 Feb 2020Hey there, we would like to hear more about this issue, will you please email us about this at support@brainiumstudios.com? We look forward to improving your experience soon! -
★★☆☆☆ Great if you like to lose... Graypayp · 3 Aug 2020Between my iPad and iPhone, I’ve played over 1000 games on this app. In spite of being a very seasoned Solitaire player and strategy gamer in general, I find it interesting that I’m only able to maintain a 50% winning percentage on my iPhone and a 53% winning percentage on my iPad. The number of unwinnable games I’ve been dealt (not just poor gameplay games or user error games on my part; truly unwinnable games) is really unacceptable. It’s gotten to the point where I’m just like, “Oh... looks like they’ve decided to deal me the algorithm of pain again... and again... and again.......”. It’s n
more
ot uncommon, unfortunately for me to lose six or so games in a row (granted, one or two of those may be user error on my part too; not necessarily all of them are likely truly unwinnable). All I’m trying to say is this: Those of your who are reviewing this app talking about how refreshingly random it is are full of crud. I’m guessing you’re part of the development team yourselves or something. Because this game is a lot of things... but random in the shuffling of the cards is definitely not one of them! That’s laughable. Get ready to be digging to the bottom of those card piles before you can find the aces, kings, etc. you need! You’re gonna need a shovel! Again, if you want a game that is guaranteed unwinnable a good chunk of the time, because you really love that feeling of having your soul slowly sucked out of you and your self-esteem slowly crushed... I couldn’t recommend this game more. 👍 It’s very well designed for ensuring that you get to watch a lot of ads between reshuffles!Developer reply · 6 Aug 2020Hi Graypayp, we're sorry to hear that your experience with Solitaire has been less than stellar. We have used the same shuffling algorithm for years, we use the Mersenne Twister (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersenne_Twister) as our random number generator, and the International Organization for Standardization's template for shuffling (http://en.cppreference.com/w/cpp/algorithm/random_shuffle). Streaks of losses (and winning streaks!) are common in random solitaire, you can always try using the unlimited Undo button within the game to go back to a previous move that may have offered more than one option- or you can try the Replay button to reset the cards to their original state for a fresh start-over. Neither of these features count against your winning percentage if you are able to win the game. If there is anything we can personally assist you with, please reach out to our support team at support@brainiumstudios.com. -
★★★★★ What did you do! mocharlie · 22 Dec 2019My app freezes and I get black screen and need to turn it off to continue playing. Your upgrade is horrendous!! Thank your for your response. I still have problems, not as frequently but still there. When I win or cannot and try to start a new game the ad attempts to load and then I get a black screen with a tiny symbol in the lower left corner. At that point I could wait and wait but nothing will change and need to close and shut the app down before I can continue to play. I hope this helps more than my first “rant”. RJ Update #2, I realized this morning that several of my apps are having iss

Thank you for your interest in my issue. Ramona Many apologies and Mea Culpa....it turns out that my last Apple update corrupted as it downloaded and caused all the issues. I worked through Apple support and updated through my PC and now all is working beautifully. Please accept my profound apologies, I love your Solitaire program. RamonaDeveloper reply · 20 Dec 2019Hey mocharlie, thank you for the update! If this happens again, we encourage you to force quit the game and relaunch it and send an in-game Support Email. This is done by tapping the Solitaire screen and selecting the Brainium logo in the bottom right corner and selecting Contact Us. Please mention that you experienced a black screen in your email. This will allow us to see your diagnostic file which will contain information about the crash to help us understand what may be causing it. We look forward to getting this fixed for you very soon, thank you for your patience and we look forward to hearing from you :) -
★★★★★ * Solitaire enygyzer · 25 May 2018Considering I normally hate solitaire games with a passion, you have made this one quite enjoyable. Of course I am getting up there a bit age wise and I find myself currently liking things I normally wouldn’t dare; this type game being one of them. I like the crystal clear cards. I like that the game is 97% in its simplest form making it easier for the “ole skool” people to play. I do wish the cars were larger just a tad but since I play in portrait mode it takes up my screen which I prefer. I don’t like playing in landscape mode anyway; at least not yet. I like that it has minimal frills and

actually uses real playing card design. I haven’t got the hang of Vegas mode 🤔 I would like to understand it better. The financial aspect makes the prospect fun. Thing is, I was playing with Vegas cumulative option on but I ran out of spare cards; I tapped the empty deck to flip them but nothing happened 🤔 I got super confused afterward so I just switched back to regular play. I like simplicity so this pretty much right up my alley. 👏🏼 Great job! 😀 -
★★★★★ Best solitaire game I've ever played Frankinchobee · 24 Apr 2018I've played a lot of solitaire games over the years. Most of them were decent games and some were just terrible. What really sets this particular game above the rest is it's simplicity of design and how close it gets to a real life experience. No two games are the same and it's really impressive how the developers have been able to design the game in such a way that it feels like I'm playing with a real deck of cards that are being shuffled and dealt in a truly random way. The best compliment I can pay to the developers is to let them know that they've created a game that has been a really gre

Thanks for creating a great game that I would have been more than happy to pay for but have been able to enjoy it for no money at all. If you enjoy solitaire, I can recommend this game without reservation. Give it a try, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
