★☆☆☆☆ Worst experience/ No integrity Fooledmetwice13 · 4 Oct 2026Multiple times I’ve attempted to make my monthly payments in full and after paying the amount in the blue sum it payment button link I am left with $0.92 left owed. FOR NO REASON! Their app is literally splitting the payment up on purpose, and multiple times it’s cost me $20 dollars because my auto pay doesn’t register the remaining balance and then I’m charged for a late payment. All in all I’ve been taken for $80 extra because of this “glitch”. It will be the last time. I’m switching back to PROGRESSIVE, their company never charged me without informing me and never did anything dishonest wi

th my account or money. Hell, I can’t hardly even get a real person on the phone with GEICO to try and resolve any issues, their whole business model is suited for thieves and charlatans, and I would never recommend them to anyone, not even my worst enemy. Hidden fees, hidden fine print, and hidden agendas. It’s disgusting and I’m appalled that I fell victim to their smoke and mirrors tactics. Overpriced on top of everything else. I switched to make a joint account while dating a woman two years ago and it was one of the worst mistakes I’ve ever made. I’ll be posting a detailed account of all the issues I had with them since being a member as a 1-star Google review, and that’ll be the last time I waste my time or breathe on anything related to GEICO. Thank God my account only has one more month left. Good riddance. -
★☆☆☆☆ Pretty bad functionality killasyd · 9 Sep 2026From my experience this app is quite horrible. For starters, Face ID has never worked the first time I open the app, nor is there any button to manually activate the function; I have to close, exit and re-open the app for the Face ID function to even make an attempt, every time I wish to log in. I get logged out and have to do 2-step verification every time I close the app which is totally unnecessary and really inconvenient when dealing with a claim and needing to grab info from multiple sources at different times. Today I made a transaction and it led me to a page where it said “payment succ

essful” but right below it also said “we could not process this transaction”. What? I constantly get stuck in endless streams of hyperlinks where I have to then hit “back” about 40 times to return to the home page. Long loading screens every time I press something are super outdated and annoying. I often get notifications for things which I already did but for some reason don’t go through on the app, the website seems to be slightly better about that. I mean with how fast the internet is these days, I shouldn’t have to sit and wait and watch a spinning animation telling me “this could take a few minutes”. I also don’t like that I often have to open a separate browser to actually complete transactions or find info because the app can’t always load everything correctly and sometimes doesn’t update right away. If I wasn’t forced to use the app for most online transactions, I would likely not be using it at all in its current state. -
★☆☆☆☆ Horrible company. Hantaywee · 31 Mar 2026If I can give it no stars. I would. This. Company a scam. My grandmother passed away and we needed to pay or bill late. Not on due date. So we did. Then said the next month. We have to pay for 2 months plus a $600 added fee. Which they didn’t know. One said feb and March then another said March and April. So in total they asking $1,300. They didn’t send bill state of this 1,300 bill. They telling me over the phone. Only reason I found out about bill payment. U asked my gf to put me on file. So I can be notified in mail. About bill statement. My gf didn’t get bill statement and I didn’t get th

e satement. So not only I didn’t get the new policy mailed to or to her. Bill statement wasn’t sent then 12 days after that one said the next bill will be coming. Now our new bill will be extra $200. On our bill. Saying that it’s a new policy. I ask for policy. They kept saying they sent it in January. Which I didn’t receive. I ask to speak to a supervisor about the bill. Waiting a week and a half. Being patient. They said 2-48 hours. I said okay. Patiently waiting. Then called them. Saying it’s passed the time. They said supervisors must be busy. Give them some time. So I did. Long story short. I called the day before being canceled. They told me supervisors don’t work on weekends. Which someone that’s a supervisor did help me before. For a different reason. GEICO is a fraud. Go find a new insure. Don’t use GEICO -
★★☆☆☆ AI chat gives out bogus information. Owens Palm · 27 Sep 2025The card I used for Autopay on my Geico account had to be reissued due to fraudulent transactions, and I tried using the Geico AI chat to figure out how to update the autopay. The chat told me to go to a specific page and select a specific feature to update my autopay, but that feature does not exist on my app even though I have the absolute up-to-date latest version of the Geico app. When I told the Geico app AI chatbot that the feature it recommended did not exist, it kept issuing stupid vapid replies like “I’m sorry, I don’t understand your message.” Finally I reached a real chat person an

d they told me that due to security reasons the autopay could only be updated by phone. So I decided to forget about updating the auto pay and just pay the current amount due using the updated card number. When I was putting the payment in, the option “update auto pay” appeared at the bottom, and I could easily select it. So both the AI chat and the (presumably) real human Geico chat agent gave me bogus information. Meanwhile, Geico charges me an extra fee just for muddling through this mess even though my account is still current. Not happy at all with Geico today sorry. There was a really simple explanation both the AI and “human” rep should have known. Making payments is a really really low level basic minimum feature that I would think any legitimate company’s app would strive to get right. -
★☆☆☆☆ Logged out Posididb · 10 May 2025I don’t appreciate being logged out of the app daily which is impacting everything or how I was forced to pay in full even though I specifically entered that I wanted to pay monthly. Due to being logged out which I’ve tried to address now my rate has increased!!!! I continuously log back in- how often am I supposed to check this? I can’t keep up with it! But it’s ok I’ll just pay more for something completely out of my control that I’ve contacted you about several times. Also you aren’t taking into account the type of vehicle I drive- when driving manual you need to accelerate harder and down

shift to go up hills so that is why I accelerate with more force. I’m driving a wrangler not a sports car!! That doesn’t mean I’m driving poorly and should have points removed! I cannot control being logged out and again I do not keep my location services on when I’m not driving yet everything for the Geico app is on regardless- every setting that I do not want on is on for your app despite my phone being hacked to appease your app. It is only making my phone operate worse yet somehow this isn’t good enough and I keep getting notified I’m logged out I need to do this and that? What more can I do. Thank you for changing my payments back to one time which you did initially that I did not agreed to and I DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT agree to! Get it? No recurring payments no one time full payments especially when you change my rate for doing nothing wrong. What’s the point of this app to be royally f’*d? I don’t understand. -
★★★☆☆ Corporate America and apps versus purchases of phones waynesworldsucks · 20 Dec 2022It comes to my attention that using the mobile apps that are out there on the Internet have a problem the problem is the phone manufacturers and the cellular service providers want the customer to completely update their phone all the time however some people in society or not that wealthy to be able to purchase a new car every year so there is a similarity in the app and the purchase of a new phone to be current with the mobile app that is a catch 22 or in my thinking it’s bait and switch. Your purchasing a phoneThat you think is going to be your own private Device that you own out right howe

ver when you look into the deep dark side of the phone manufacturing they are in bed with corporate America they need the cell phones cellular companies need to stay secure they constantly need updates your device can only update to so many updates and beyond that it requires a purchase of a new phone when using a third-party app to go and pay your car insurance if you’re not updated on the phone either by your browser or the apps version you’re kind of locked out and so the review that I give is very low because insurance companies like Geico are right up there with the telephone manufacturer the service provider and their own ways of updating their apps and basically tagging an individual it’s not a fair way to deal with the company or an individual and I think that our government needs to look into the fact that phone companies are requiring this of us to purchase new equipment to stay updated I think they need to leave it alone and just create better security -
★☆☆☆☆ Geico Misrepresented and now I’m out of work. pepps60x · 14 Oct 2021Geico misrepresented a payment on my account and my account went negative while I was experiencing financial hardship. I made sure on two different occasions that my account wouldn’t be charged, and I was told “Not to worry”. A few days later, my account was charged and my account was overdrawn. I understand my bank account is my responsibility, and I was making it my responsibility by communicating with Geico to make sure they wouldn’t charge my account. Geico now tells me that it will take several days for the $$$ to be credited to my account. I made sure to follow the steps I needed to take

; Geico misrepresented themselves, and did not take consideration of my situation. This wouldn’t be such a big problem if Geico actually followed through with what they said they were going to do… I now have to call off an entire weekend of work where I can’t get paid. Why you ask? Because I can’t put gas into my car and drive to work this weekend. I work as a DoorDash driver; so I NEED gas in my car in order to work. I have zero credit and I have no friends or family that can gift me funds. I am doing the best that I can, and I’m working very hard to get out of my financial hardships. Geico has royally screwed me, as I now cannot work this weekend or put food onto my table because of their misrepresentation. I will not be renewing my policy with them. -
★★★★★ Not easy to navigate can I use the app now? · 4 Jul 2020My policy was about to be canceled because the expiration date on my debit card has changed. When this happened in June I updated the account for all of my bills and online purchases. Including Geico! I had assumed my bill was being paid automatically as it had been in the past and there’s absolutely no reason it should not have been. But I received an email that I was about to be canceled so I logged onto this app.I went to pay my bill and I noticed popped up that I must change the expiration date. Easy enough right? No no no no no no no not easy at all! I repeated this psycho about seven or
more
eight times where it allowed me to change my expiration date and then I went in and clicked pay bill and it said the expiration date has expired change your expiration date and I played goofy again and again and again!!! I went to the settings but I couldn’t find payment methods. I finally found something that gave me the option of a credit card or checking account but not the option to change the expiration date on my debit card. Finally by random and I mean random not intuitive clicking and clicking through and clicking through I came to a page that allowed me to put in a new expiration date. My bill has been paid the entire process took me about 20 minutes. I gave you another couple minutes of my Saturday to write/dictate this message in hopes that you improve your system for other customers. Thank you -

★★★★★ GEICO is horrible MichaelA330neo · 15 Aug 2019GEICO is horrible. I have had a glass damage claim (for the windshield of my car) open for weeks, and I have not been able to make any progress beyond the initial declaration of the damage, given the many roadblocks GEICO laid on my way. It is the phone number from the mobile app that tells me to send a written message, and then the reply to the written message that tells me to call the same phone number. The “dog trying to eat its own tail” madness. In the meantime, my safety is being endangered while I am forced, by this bad quality, to drive a car with a damaged windshield. Also, at the sam

e time and while all of this is going on, my dealership, the glass repair shop and GEICO are all playing to pass the ball to each other about who should take the next step. They all seem to think I am responsible for it. For sure, I am responsible for it, that is out of the question, but how can I really be responsible and be able to take care of it, if every time I try to make this claim move forward, one of the three stakeholders refers me to the two others? Absolute madness again. They are a bunch of irresponsible men and women brats catching me in the middle. Help! And fast!
