  1. ★★★★★ not easy to use Super awesome rap god · 22 Aug 2026
Initially, my experience was a nightmare. I nearly canceled my card due to the hours-long wait for a live representative, as I could only communicate with AI. I believe this is the direction all credit cards are heading. While AI isn't entirely bad, I still really dislike the overall experience. The card itself has been beneficial. However, some aspects are quite difficult to comprehend and navigate, and if you're looking for an immediate response, you won't receive it. I still rate it five stars because they may have improved the value you get for the money you spend, something I still find c
moreonfusing. For instance, I have a $500 credit limit, but since I don't plan to use it, it will eventually expire. At some point, I will stop using this card, and all the points will expire instead of being applied towards my mortgage and payments. They will deduct the points. It's still worthwhile, and I still give it five stars, but be ready to feel frustrated with the representative who can't answer your questions and the long wait for assistance, which might not even be helpful, with no phone call option available.
  2. ★☆☆☆☆ Save the hassle, avoid BILT 2.0 Bobapple11 · 2 May 2026
I’ve long admired the Jain family legacy from InfoSpace to Ankur Jain’s vision of making housing rewarding and achievable for everyday people. That is why I became a BILT customer in 2022 and stayed loyal to the brand. Since BILT& Wells Fargo ended their partnership, the experience has gone with it. Rewards have become less worthy, payment issues are frequent, and customer service is terrible (segmented by a caste system). I wanted to believe things would improve but instead I’ve wasted months trying to get basic issues resolved. Rather than addressing problems directly, BILT 2.0 pushes custom
moreers through a maze of support channels (yes, email and phone and text are different Teams) So I got the impression that BILT 2.0 is more about deflecting old issues than actually solving them, leaving everyday users left with the fallout. At this point, BILT 2.0 feels like a broken program, driven by a big vision but overwhelmed by poor execution. The only positive change since is the AI chatbot “neighbors concierge” that actually works. The other shiny reviews often read like insiders with special treatment (you not on the list to BILT nyc events so you cheap) rather than the average customers. Good marketing sure but not reality for the everyday users so be warned!
  3. ★☆☆☆☆ BILT travel service is a joke brcb20 · 20 Apr 2026
TLDR - NEVER USE BILT TRAVEL. TRANSFER YOUR POINTS INSTEAD. I’ve used BILT for the last 5 years both to pay rent and as a credit card. I’ve accrued and used over 250,000 points with them. Recently I used their travel portal to book multiple flights. BILT goes hard on their AI features and are cheap with their human travel specialists. The travel specialists seem to follow a script and do not understand anything that isn’t on their script. I cancelled a booking within 24 hours and rebooked. The points and cash refund was supposedly issued but it has been 3 weeks and nothing. I also tried to c
morehange another flight I booked and the travel specialist said they could fully refund the ticket and issue a travel voucher but then said they were sure if I’d be charge a change fee when booking again with the voucher. Sorry what? So I didn’t change my flight because their travel specialist doesn’t seem to know how refunds or vouchers work. This is a recurring theme with the travel specialists. BILT AI concierge constantly directs you to a travel specialist but they don’t seem to understand the problem so you have to go back to the AI and force it to connect you with someone from BILT instead and sometimes the BILT folks tell you to talk to a travel specialist again which is wildly frustrating.
  4. ★★★★☆ Update broken. UNPUBLISHED NAME · 27 Mar 2026
I’m leaving my previous review below because people deserve to see that you had a security breach. But now I’m complaining about the fact that the pay feature is no longer there. I need to pay my rent. I do not wait for auto withdrawal. The button is now not there anymore. And I don’t see my points. It looks as if built erased all of my points. My apartment management , forced all renters to use the BILT app to make our payments. Making my payment through my Apartment Website before BILT was perfectly fine and nothing happened to my information or my payments. Within two months of being forc
moreed to use this BILT app, BILT sent out a notification, and so did my apartment office, stating that there was a security breach with the company BILT. This is absolutely ridiculous, when considering the fact that both the apartment management and BILT itself touted itself on its protective measures of our security and within two months, all of us were compromised and we were forced into the situation. On top of that, if I make a payment to my rent before the auto pay withdraws then I still get a text message and an email stating that there was a problem processing my payments. Yes, of course there’s a problem processing my payment because you are not allowed to take my rent money twice within one month. Fix your app! Fix your company! I would give no stars instead of one if I could.
  5. ★★★☆☆ Promises Vonrommell13 · 5 Feb 2026
A company maintain customer loyalty by living up to its promise. Bilt changes like having 3 cards, how earning and paying the rent for example was lately explained to customers and felt like a trap. That was going to have changes and no longer use Wells Fargo was anticipated. But the changes were not explained until last minute. The Blue card, it is not a ¼ of what we had. The fact that now the debt is automatically done from our bank account next day to avoid a fee is really not friendly. I a 5 days grace period would be a minimum offered. Any how, it is always unclear on how to earn full poi
morents on a rental pay if you want just find that info. Not friendly at all. Not easy. I can’t say right now what I need to do to earn full points next rent pay in March. Yes, I ready when I changed. But was so long the process that I am still lost and shouldn’t take more than a minute to find that info. I looked for 20 min and couldn’t find. Not even searching. It is disappointing. When I am back from my deployment I will likely look alternative on pay my rent. Perhaps going back to debt my own bank account. Let’s see.
  6. ★★☆☆☆ Useless for everyday spend Malignance · 15 Dec 2024
This Credit Card is good if you only plan to pay your rent. Even that’s mediocre at best. 2 huge problems with this card, firstly the conversion rate for the reward points is low. Just about any Credit Card out there with a 1% cash back rate out paces this card buy .25% or more. So even though you get rewards for rent you can math it out and cover any fees just by the extra % on cash back with literally any card on the market. Secondly the limit is way too low. Just enough to cover a single rent charge but forget about anything else which makes it practically unusable for the everyday spend or
more the rewards. Twice I’ve attempted to get an increase and twice I was denied. This is fine by me cause I don’t carry a balance anyway but for anyone that wants to use this as an actual credit card well good luck to you. I understand why Wells Fargo reports a loss of $10M per month on this card. If people are basically forced to pay off the balance each month revenue from interest is non existent. That is much better for the consumer however a terrible business model. Now for the app review. It’s like a rollercoaster of unattainable random stuff. The interface changes every 3 days and becomes very confusing to even use for simple things like checking your balance. They advertise soooo many perks and ways to use your rewards but what I’ve found is that you have to choose. Use the card for rewards OR for rent. Unfortunately credit limit restraints don’t allow for both. At least not for me.
  7. ★☆☆☆☆ Slow REDC2 · 1 Mar 2024
App and website are extremely slow and produce a LOT of errors. This new payment system is basically unusable and it takes hours just to setup auto pay for no reason other than they don’t have the load balancers to deal with the extra online traffic. Also I am unable to link any of my bank cards to the system, it keeps saying that the information is incorrect… it obviously isn’t because I was able to add that exact card with the same information on other websites so there’s obviously a problem on their end. I haven’t seen such a poorly unoptimized website like this in almost a decade now, the
moregovernment websites actually work better than dealing with this. Hopefully things will get better and SOON because this is definitely not a sustainable environment as it stands. You all are trying to do way too much with your website and don’t have the hardware to accomplish your vision. PLEASE! optimize your online service! I’ve been in the field for almost 20 years now, Im not going to get into any details but just look at your developer tools when surfing your website next time… there’s a whole lot of errors. (Tested on Edge, Brave- shields up and down, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, unchromium on both Windows and Linux operating systems both on bare metal and virtualization. Obviously also tested on this app) please do whatever you can to fix these issues get a professional, use Burp suite to dissect the issue if you have to. We all need this to work smoothly, I’m upset about this but hopefully this critical issue isn’t being overlooked.
  8. ★★☆☆☆ App is fantastic if it was accessible Jimmy Talks Inclusive Design · 24 Apr 2023
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy this app. However, I am a legally blind user that navigates my phone with the VoiceOver screen reader, and I cannot easily use the app independently because a lot of the screens either don’t have correct labels on the buttons or the page doesn’t read at all. For instance, the screen reader wouldn’t read the login screen, so I had to turn on screen recognition in order for the phone to guess what’s on the screen. As soon as I click the login button, I am able to turn off screen recognition to login. Another example occurs when I’m trying to click the confirm b
moreutton on the page where you remove the house address to add a new one. In this instance, I had to ask one of my sighted friends to click the button for me. This shouldn’t be this hard to use the app. I would strongly advise the app developers to consult with people, who use a screen reader daily, to improve this app. A lot of blind and low vision individuals pay rent every month, and they will not be able to use this app if they are not technologically savvy. I hope to be able to recommend this app to blind and low vision users in the future, but as of right now, I cannot recommend this app to any of my friends because it’s way too difficult to navigate the app using a screen reader.
  9. ★☆☆☆☆ Unreliable and No Customer Service Number Tenant... · 6 Aug 2022
My apartment complex promoted BILT so I jumped onboard because who doesn’t love rewards?! I set up auto payment for my rent and on month two my complex emails me a 30 day notice to vacate and adds a late fee because my payment wasn’t sent in. I had perfect payment history with the complex and had just renewed my lease the week prior. BILT attempted to pull early hours of the 1st before my child support and monthly transfer from my business account went into my personal account, a SINGLE attempt to pull and then payment attempt was cancelled. I didn’t even know it happened until the 4th when my
more leasing office emailed. I’ve been waiting for 2 days for the “zen desk customer service” to respond. There is no customer service number and yet we trust them with the responsibility of paying our rent and handling that much money, along with our bank account info. Ridiculous. My rent money had been in there by 1030am after transferred on the 1st and it didn’t even attempt to pull again that day, most companies attempt 3 times. Funny how with me being solely responsible, my rent was never late. Additionally, it would take SIX YEARS for me to be able to purchase a simple flight from ATL to ORL with my rewards! This app is a joke. It caused so much unnecessary stress.

  10. ★★★★★ Game changing and fun! Redsence · 8 Jun 2022
BILT has totally changed the game for renters! As soon as I heard about getting points for paying rent that can be used towards travel, i had to jump in. It was a no brainer! The app makes it very easy to sign up for the BILT rewards credit card. Once you receive your card, the process/instructions to setup the rent payment is very easy and all the info is right in the app. Points are updated as transactions are posted which is great compared to other companies where you don’t see your points for months! The app has cool blog posts on travel ideas and BILT as a company just makes it a fun expe
morerience being using the card. Few feedback points for the app. I wish it would sync more with the Wells Fargo features directly in the BILT app. To see statements, set up payment for the card, view billing cycles, instant transaction notifications, card settings, etc. all need to be done via the Wells Fargo account. I know WF is their payment processor but some better integration with the BILT app for these features would be nice. Setting up the Wells Fargo end of the card required some work and isn’t as straightforward but hoping this improves over time. Overall love the BILT card, love their support, and love the insta challenges they have to keep it fun and interesting. Getting points for rent is great! Thanks BILT!
