★☆☆☆☆ Games are hit or miss Holyscrap · 18 Oct 2026The games are a great way to earn points when it works, which unfortunately most of the time it doesn’t. About 1 in 5 games I have downloaded haven’t registered in the app in the arcade as having been installed and I can’t earn points for them. No clue why this keeps happening- the games used to always work. Capital One Shopping obviously knows this is an issue since they warn you to go to the app and make sure it has registered there that you installed before making progress. Problem is they don’t tell you what to do if the game doesn’t show up. ZERO support- only links to report to the gam

e apps for issues. And multiple times I have also had the few games that actually worked change the rewards stipulations (adding a time limit that previously hadn’t been there) while I was making progress so I didn’t get rewards or they just didn’t give the rewards. Some of these are for purchases- basically you get back in rewards what you spent- which would be great if they worked, but it’s basically theft since they don’t follow through. Capital One Shopping needs to hold their game apps accountable. -
★☆☆☆☆ Bait and Switch Oskar Yopon · 16 Oct 2026UPDATE 2: To redeem rewards I have to link a bank account? Since when? For what? So you can steal money from me? It says I can link a credit card, but takes me to my bank log in and wants my ID and password. F… you Capital One. I don’t give that information to anyone. I was willing to link my credit card because I can lock it and it gives an extra layer of security, but I guess that’s why you don’t want that. Your 4.9 star rating must be bot generated. There is no way anyone is happy with your BS. Thank you for wasting my time. UPDATE 1: After my review, miraculously the $10 from my SHEIN pur

chase showed up. I still haven’t received the AARP reward. Now let’s see if my $30 from 1-800-Flowers shows up. They still have different offers from the same merchant. As you are scrolling through the deals, the same deals are listed over and over. Come on guys, why are you wasting my time. Show one deal per merchant, THE BEST DEAL, and let’s move on. I don’t have time to scroll through all your BS. Additionally, after using a deal and making a purchase — the next time you open the app, a better deal is available. BAIT AND SWITCH! ORIGINAL: What a rip-off! You have to waste time looking for the best deal. Multiple different deals for the same store on the home page and emails. Then, after finding the best deal for the store you’re shopping, you may or may not get that deal. I activated a get $10 back on $20+ purchase at SHEIN. I purchased $20+ and Capital One Shopping rewarded me with 3¢. I activated a reward from AARP and never received it. Then, good luck contacting customer support to resolve any discrepancies. The only saving grace for this app is that it cost nothing. Come on guys — ONE deal for each store : the BEST deal! You also need to make it easier to dispute incorrect/missing rewards. -
★★★★☆ Exceeded expectations My Nickname Jon · 8 Oct 2026I installed it on a whim from an add that said I’d get $40 after completing the requirements for their first time user bonus. Basically add the extension to Safari & just shop normally. They did it, i also have gotten awesome cash back offers from retailers, like when I got 40% cash back at Buckle on four new pairs of jeans. If you know Buckle, you know that’s a lot of cash back. I’ll add the cash back can only be redeemed for gift cards in the app and I’m giving four stars because it takes FOREVER to get it (even the arcade ones, which I find weird you have to wait 30 days after reaching the

level for the reward), but they have a decent selection that changes up each month. Places like Uber, H&M, Saks Fifth, Walmart, Five Guys, etc have gift card options and it’s instant once you redeem them. So all five stars are except for that 30 day waiting period on the arcade aspect, bc it’s obvious when you reach a level. Shouldn’t take 30 days to verify that. -
★☆☆☆☆ Takes 4 months to redeem anything. Macie lang · 16 Sep 2026This app is so inconvenient and slow and has been designed to be that way. It takes three months for the reward to even register on your account. Then you have to jump through all kinds of hoops and give them access to your credit card or bank account for them to review your transactions and “ confirm your identity” and that takes another week of waiting. I have been on apps that are slightly inconvenient in some ways but this app has taken it to such an extreme level. Their angle is for you to wait so long for the reward to populate that you forget it’s even there. Waiting three months for a

reward to populate is absolutely absurd, and we know by using other apps that there is no reason that it would take this long other than them intentionally doing that. If I could give the zero stars I would. This is the most inconvenient time-consuming app I’ve ever used in my entire life. I have never waited months to potential receive something and then wait another month to maybe find out if I can receive the reward after waiting for five months. It’s absolutely crazy. And after you use a reward, even if you call them, they can’t give you an answer or tell you if it was even accepted because “ it takes 90 days to populate”. Do yourself a favor and don’t use this app. -

★★★☆☆ Not always reliable Rewards hound · 21 Aug 2026I enjoy getting the rewards when the links work. Sometimes the deals are quite good and there’s a reasonable selection of gift cards for which I can subsequently use. However, Service is not very reliable. You have to be careful inspecting the (E-mail) promotions like mad. Even when you go to inspecting exclusions, it’s not all clear what is covered and what is not. My most recent frustration was taking advantage of a promotion from one merchant in the first week of July. I made another purchase from an email sent to me three weeks later from another merchant. My first purchase was not assig

ned any Rewards. As required by Capital One Shopping I waited 30 days before I made an inquiry. I then asked what happened to the first purchase reward. The bizarre explanation that came back to me was since they had assigned me a reward for the second purchase, which happened three weeks afterwards I was not eligible for the first purchase. How does that make sense? -
★☆☆☆☆ Large orders don’t track! Scammed out of $1,000 in rewards Seanssong · 15 Jan 2026I completed a $4,000+ order during Black Friday with a 30% offer through this app. Based on my purchase total, I should have received the max amount of rewards at $1,000 that was promised. None of the items I bought were excluded in the terms and I didn’t use any other rewards program. I reached out to customer support and even sent screenshots of the purchase I made within the Capital One Shopping app. Their customer support said I didn’t earn any rewards because I used another rewards program. But I didn’t and that’s impossible to do while shopping through the Capital One Shopping app! They

gave me a significantly smaller “courtesy credit” than the $1,000 that I was supposed to receive. This is a bait and switch tactic and a shady way for them to get customers to spend lots of money so they earn commission. Don’t get scammed into making a large purchase through them like I did. I was a big fan of this app and I’ve used many similar programs so I’m familiar with the mechanics of affiliate tracking. But after this experience, I’ve lost trust in this app and service and am very dissatisfied by their resolution given the fact I provided proof I didn’t violate any terms that would make my purchase ineligible. I would stay away! -
★★★★★ No where to report bugs MashkaNYC · 16 Jun 2025I often (on regular lately) use the app. It’s fun. But it becomes an issue when there is a programming error and you can’t check out through the app because how it was coded. Or now for example the offer for Wallgreens takes you to first download the Walgreens app and then to Apple (different merchant altogether). Before this was and still is an error in container store (all options to sing into your account no matter which trick you can think of has been eliminated if you check out through the app. It’s coded somehow like this) so it’s a big issue and just with stores that I use on the regula

r. Again if there was a place to at least notify the people coding the app, it would probably be fixed but there are no options like this. I even dug through the regular website and there’s nothing. -
★☆☆☆☆ Do NOT use this app. chihuahua_mother · 24 Apr 2025This app has been a gigantic waste of my time, and I feel like I’ve genuinely been scammed. As soon as the issue is resolved, I’m deleting this useless app. I attempted to redeem $82 for my first e-gift card. I completed the steps correctly, but when I attempted to use it, it didn’t work as the balance said $0.00. I hadn’t even gotten the chance to use it, so of course this was not correct. I reached out to eBay, all they could do was assist with filing an FTC complaint. I reached out to Capital One Shopping and was directed to Tango, since they’re responsible for something with the gift card,

I guess. I asked if the $82 could just be reimbursed back to my account, but naturally received no response back within the day from Capital One Shopping. I’ve reached out to Tango, but I’m not feeling super confident that this will be resolved. So basically they’re tracking my phone for free with absolutely nothing in it for me. I was already REALLY hesitant to download it in the first place, because it felt sketchy. But I’ve been a loyal customer to Capital One for nearly 20 years, so I assumed it would be okay. I plan to close my Capital One account down next, because this has just left a horrific taste in my mouth. All I’m trying to do is buy my mom a Mother’s Day present.Developer reply · 12 May 2025Hi, we're sorry to hear that your experience was not the best. ★★★★★ Truly pays to have this AbcMRM · 16 Jan 2025When I originally joined for the $20 promo for getting the app and desktop browser extension, I was excited to see that not only did it work but when I chose what gift card I wanted if was ready right away (which worked when I used it in person). I just redeemed another giftcard months later- the reason it is months later is once you complete a purchase through one of the offers, the reward is available once the last date for store returns would be to ensure people don’t make purchases to get rewards and then cancel/ return. Also, be sure to check the offers in your email which are often way
more
bigger than the ones you see in the app because it personalizes it to places you have browsed recently. For example, I once had an offer that was over 30% cash back but I had to click on the link through my email because if I went to that same store on the app, the offer would barely be anything. I saw some people mention it works better on desktop but for me, mobile has worked very well! I often fill my cart on the actual store I am shopping at’s app or website where I am logged in and then go to this app (or the email offer that brings you to the app) and once on the store’s page within this app, you can checkout (if you have a store account make sure to log in as you normally would on a regular browser).
