  1. ★★★★★ Excellent Credit Knowledge Loriell1968 · 30 Mar 2026
Since then I have been using the Experian Credit App, I have found more information about my credit score and the factors that affect my credit score. The App also helps match my credit score to new credit card accounts, personal loans and other lines of credit that Fit My Credit Profile. This is very helpful and useful information because I can easily see which credit cards, personal loans and credit lines that I should or shouldn’t apply for if I’m in need of either of those types of accounts. Since I’ve been using the App, I have found so much valuable information about credit scores and cr
moreedit reports and exactly what affects them. Also my credit score has increased since I started using the Experian App and using the information that’s available to me. I am very grateful, thankful and so very much satisfied with this App. I give it 5*’s ALL THE WAY!! If you don’t already have this App, I would highly recommend that you check it out, especially if you are interested in learning more about your Credit profiles and the factors that affect them. And if you’re trying to improve your credit scores this App is the only one that has actually helped me in All of These Areas. If I could give it more than 5*’s I definitely would! Download this very useful, fact based, credit “tool”, App today and watch your credit get better and see what’s changed in your credit profiles so you will know exactly what you need to do next. Thank Experian!! For such a “priceless” App!!

  2. ★★★☆☆ Subscriptions keep renewing despite cancelling numerous times L K Lemon · 4 Oct 2025
This app is decent for what it does (monitoring your credit etc) but the subscription cost of nearly $30 a month is absolutely ludicrous especially given the state of the economy at present and how many people are struggling to get by as it is. There’s no reason it needs to be that expensive. The free version of the app offers good enough features for me to be unable to justify that extra cost in the paid version. However, despite cancelling the subscription numerous times (idk how it got started to begin with if I’m being honest with you- I didn’t sign up for it) every couple months it auto r
moreenews somehow, and I end up getting charged another $30 for something I don’t want and didn’t ask for. By the time I notice it, it’s usually been some time and then I have huge issues getting it refunded to my account, since so much time has passed. Getting pretty old at this point and I have wasted almost $200 in these charges I didn’t authorize and exertion keeps pushing through despite having sent countless emails over the last twelve months about the fact that I don’t want or need the subscription. Would be really nice if they actually honored that instead of allowing the charges to continue to be pushed through. Their bank account (smart money) is decent however

  3. ★☆☆☆☆ Experian and this app must be the king of upselling! jl5978 · 19 Mar 2025
Experian may be useful for folks trying to improve their credit score when they need to monitor every change, but for folks with good, established credit it is nothing but frustration. Why do I have the app when I complain about it? Only one reason: To quickly and easily unfreeze my Experian credit score. This credit freeze and unfreeze is FREE for Experian and the other two major credit reporting agencies due to federal law. But the FREE freeze/unfreeze feature is buried, while they constantly try to upsell you with their ‘lock/unlock’ feature for $5 every month. Log in on the web and you
moredon’t get a dashboard or a main menu, but instead you get hit by a splash screen that tries to get you to upgrade for $25 per month. I must decline EVERY TIME I log in. I also get a monthly email with credit alerts. The ‘alerts’ are always unless; examples: “credit balance increased” or “credit balance decreased”. Yep, that’s what happens when you use your CC and then pay it off every month. Dumb and frustrating. And you can’t unsubscribe from the emails. And you can’t change the notification levels in the app to prevent the useless emails. The free version is annoying, and I would never give this company a dime.

  4. ★★★★★ Vulnerable Credit Bureau Alert! Shebebsj · 9 Dec 2024
I am forced to write review to expose the truth about its security flaw. It’s absurd! The business and developers really need to come together and fix this if not next second, ASAP. I have been a victim of getting my experian compromised. I realized how they are doing it. Anyone with some information of an individual is able to create a new account and it would automatically overwrite the real user account. Past day i have been battling over this. Someone is overwriting my account. I am extremely surprised how they can easily compromise an individual. Please fix this! This is a credit bu
morereau! People depend on it. It shouldn’t be this easy for bad actors to gain access to private information. This is emergency and requires immediate attention. Upper management if you are reading this, there is an imminent risk present before you. If you can t get your security guys to act on this, then one day this risk will come at a great price. Right now, your customers are being victimized due to this loop hole which can seen from forum from two years ago if you search on google. You are keeping this gate open to keep bad actors roaming wildly in the streets

  5. ★★★★★ Great Way of Knowing Your Credit Score and Ways of Increasing It CandyyyMan · 12 Nov 2024
Of the 3 Main Credit Score Companies, Experian is by far the Best Way of Increasing Your Score. Experian allows you to attach other Bills for Experian to keep track of your monthly on time payments at No Charge. Also, I did pay a Monthly Charge when I needed to Talk to a Live Person to Assist in getting an Old Account Removed from my Record. Then I returned to the Free Service to Continue to Watch my Score constantly go Up! When 1 month it dipped a few points, I noticed immediately the reason why and I was able to fix it. When I started with Experian my Credit Score was at 569, I was
more able to get it up to 720, when I was out of work and my Bank Account wasn’t getting weekly Direct Deposits and my Credit Cards Balances went up, my Credit Score dropped to 690. Now that I’m back working again, it has jumped back up to 720 and my goal has been 750 which I believe it will reach in 2025 (currently Nov of 2024 when leaving this review) Experian by far is better than Trans Union and Equifax. The bad thing, you don’t know which of the 3 businesses will use when looking up your score. The good thing, as I’ve used Experian, I have seen my Credit Score at the other 2 go up as well.

Signed up for free subscription. Tried to cancel within 10mins as the app said you can cancel anytime within the specified period of time. App won’t let me cancel the subscription. I went through the app and found the section to cancel membership/subscription but when you click that section it continually loads and never populates. I don’t have any connection issues and I’m connected to Wi-Fi and everything else in the app works perfectly fine and loads right away; but, mysteriously, when you try to cancel it won’t populate. Guess what else won’t populate within the app? Contacting support. Th
moreat doesn’t populate either. Sure, they show you the link to click in the app but it takes you to a screen that never loads so you cannot contact them and you can’t cancel like they stated you can. This is a scam. This isn’t right. This is wrong. I had payed for them in the past on the web (not the app) and when I tried to cancel there I also ran into issues: they couldn’t verify my identity in order to cancel. I signed up for the app to get my credit score as my veteran friend advised me to do like he did but it wouldn’t show me my credit score (I have one btw and other places have showed me that in the past) but some how I can’t see my score through experian and they get you to signup but then block you from canceling. What a joke of a company. No one should use this product.

  7. ★★★★★ It doesn’t add up YoYo5$$$5 · 4 Apr 2022
I use Chase Bank and chase bank uses Experian to rate the credit score, pretty much when I go to my online banking my score with Experian is much higher than when I go into my Experian app and it’s significantly lower, just so you have some understand I’m talking about 58 to 60 point difference, it some what was better for a while and then the Experian app decided to drop me 8 points I have done so much research and tried to find out why, no point I couldn’t get down to the bottom of it which is extremely alarming because all I’ve been doing is the right thing t ok grow my credit score, which
more includes not going over the 10% I’m in the 2% mark, I make my payments as soon as they come up, i planned it all out to build my credit. With credit sesame I was all the way up to 786 now I am down, I literary use my cards once every 2 weeks rotating them just so they don’t get closed down, no skipped payments, im not sure ever why my score drops when it drops. I feel it’s because they want me to sign up for a better plan that I have to pay for. I have no clue, all I know is I’m doing everything and anything I can for my credit to grow and it does but it always drops down. I feel like something is wrong with the system. Also, I’ve noticed when I do not owe anything at all there’s still a balance when I check my credit status and I know for sure I do not owe anything, so the system is not 100% perfect but it could effect my future so naturally it always leaves me worried.

Hello there. The score used by your Experian® membership is based on the FICO ®8 scoring model. Many but not all lenders use the FICO®8 scoring model. There are many different credit scoring models that can give a different assessment of the credit risk (risk of default) for the same consumer and credit file. Your lender or insurer may use a different FICO ®Score than FICO 8, or another type of credit score altogether. Just remember that your associated risk level is often the same even if the number is not. -Stacey
  8. ★★☆☆☆ Faulty, inaccurate information, and horrible dispute customer service Better Credit Reportig · 27 Jul 2021
I paid for this service and it continuously posts inaccurate information on the three bureau credit report. Equifax and Transunion removed a bad collection, but Experian says it will remain on their report for six years. Plus Experian inaccurately reports same bad collection on their version of the equifax report. The reports on Experian are not updating, even after I wa told by agent to delete and reinstall the app. I personally spoke to Equifax and Transunion and both bureaus state Experian is reporting non-factual information - the Experian bureau system is not up to date and failing to ma
moreintain correct credit data (according to other customer complaints). When I attempted to dispute this matter and state the facts the agent would not try to assist by stating the bad collection will just stay on my report till 2026, plus she just hung up on me when I requesting for better assistance in resolving the issue. So, why am I paying for inaccurate three credit bureau report if Experian information is inconsistent with the actual other two bureaus. Well this an app I have to say needs to get the bugs washed out of the system - and get up to speed. Experian become consistent with the other two major bureaus! May have to discontinue service.

  9. ★★☆☆☆ Always faulty app and website. ilikecookies2030 · 11 Jul 2021
The app, even in its earlier iOS, doesn’t work. The actual Experian website disconnects from my Connected Accounts every week, literally. I try to reconnect but the website keeps goin in circles not connecting. Very frustrating since all this affects MY credit score cause they claim they can’t keep track of my account(s) cause they keep disconnecting, however, I’m not responsible but will be punished with my next credit score. Seem fair? Experian needs to fix their main website as well as their app. With all that money you’d think they could afford to have their operating system working proper
morely so their customers don’t get negatively affected by their credit scores. For people who have been rebuilding credit for many years, it’s maddening when the score goes down, especially when it’s Experian’s fault. I even have their “yearly protection” subscription to watch for my info being used on the dark web, etc etc, and yet I still get my credit score lowered because experian’s website has too many technical problems to work accurately. And, even if my accounts do connect again to Experian’s watchful eye, they will disconnect, for whatever reason, within a week’s time, not because of anything I’ve done, it just disconnects. I don’t feel safe having my credit behavior analyzed by this company but have no choice so this significantly decreases my ability to rent a home, a car or get an emergency loan, amongst other things. Also interesting how my other 2 main credit scores are at least 60-79 points higher than Experian’s score, but hey, who’s counting?

Experian has my banking account information so I can pay for the service and every time I try to boost my credit score I am being told that my bank isn’t on the list of banks I’m with a railroad FCU and don’t understand why my bank isn’t on their list but they’re able to get a payment from my bank account for there service. All my utilities have always been paid on time no question. I will not let my kids go without heat/ AC, or a home. I’m completely disabled due to secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and I still have 2 children at home All I have is student loans and I’m working to hav
moree them completely wiped off but I’m unable to fill out the paperwork because my handwriting is completely unreadable because the Multiple Sclerosis affects my right side of my body and left side of my brain. I have lost my registered nursing degree because I’m completely disabled after having MS for 23 years. I have lost both my parents so I have no help anymore or support. I’m happily divorced from a narcissist who was emotionally and verbally abusive and wanting me to pay him for the 50/50 custody of which I have my children 90% of the time . I’m looking for a break please.
