This unique Tactical Battle Chess experience challenges players to master the Art of Battle by defeating the opponent’s King through clever troop placement and the deployment of powerful special units.

By blending the best elements of classic real-time war strategy (RTS), tower defense, and auto-chess, ARTLE delivers a fast-paced experience that feels both fresh and familiar to fans of the genre.

Inspired by Sun Tzu and Classic Warfare
The vision behind Art of Battle stems from a lifelong passion for Tactical Battle Chess. As an indie developer, I have always been inspired by the timeless wisdom found in Sun Tzu’s "The Art of War" and the real-world tactics of A.H. Nasution’s "Guerrilla Warfare."

My goal was to translate the cinematic intensity of films like Shogun, Troy, and 300 into a digital format. I wanted to capture the thrill of grand-scale historical combat—the real strategy of ancient commanders—without the overwhelming micromanagement found in traditional RTS games.
