It's never easy being the new girl, especially at one of the most prestigious boarding schools in the country. You don't know what you're walking into. The pressure to fit in the lives of your privileged peers is overwhelming.
In Love Matters, Annie is not your typical new girl. Raised by a single mother and growing up underprivileged, Annie was taught to be strong. Transferring into the exclusive St. Phillips Academy was no easy feat.
She encountered bullying on her very first day of school, but she didn't give in.
