Old: Have been using Trip for 10 years, never had a problem, strong customer service. A ticket was booked for me and the procedures were completed without them telling me that I needed a visa and I had no prior knowledge that a visa is required for internal transit. They instantly called the hotel at midnight and arranged a refund for the rest of the time, not what I asked but fine. I tried booking a ticket category and when I was about to make payment, the system said fully book. so I had to book another category. After making the booking, the original category I wanted to book appeared again. When I used the chat function to raise this issue with them, they claimed that there was nothing wrong in their system. They then promised to investigate the matter but never get back to me anymore. I contacted customer service, but they were unable to resolve the issue and simply told me to unsubscribe, which I had already done. I eventually deleted my account, yet I’m still receiving emails. Couldn't find an easy access to do so, so asked the bot, kept asking to select a booking... Checked CS page, all about bookings.... Clicked on Rate app, ahah🙂 hidden 'give feedback' that takes you to...customer service page☹️ (instead of a dedicated feedback page). A permanent loop preventing us to leave app feedback. Probably my favourite travel booking app. It's great to be able to filter based on checked baggage, a d choose different baggage amounts. Thw other thing that really impressed me is the terminal and gate guidance when you're trying to figure out where to go in the airport. But it has downsides too. The price of the booking went up nearly £100 in 2 hours when the same number of rooms were left. This is apparently due to 'dynamic pricing' designed to rip off customers when more people search on the same area. ★☆☆☆☆ Huy Pham · 20 Jun 2025 · v8.26.2Booked a 3 night room with free change before the deadline, then I wanted to shorten it to 2 nights. Followed the option on the app and got an ok message and to wait for their reply. Later they sent a message saying not ok. But it passed the deadline already so I was not allowed to change free anymore. Complaints logged but no one was able to solve, so I had to bear for the cost.
