It also makes documents easier to read. I love the darkest theme! It’s awesome that the toolbars disappear when you tap the screen for full-screen reading. Especially when many other apps offer this for free. I have other options on my phone, but I don’t like having to switch to another viewer just to share a document without a watermark.

If they're there I must be missing something. For reading pdf's, picking up where I left off, saving them in tabs until I remove them it's great. It does more, I don't use it all. I'm very glad I dumped PDF Reader which was unruly with BS, tricky ads telling you your "version has expired. Click here to repair", etc., before it would even open, and switched BACK to Xodo.

Put it back the way it was, or I'll find another app! And people aren't paying for basic features that should, and used to, be free. Your watermark doesn't belong on MY documents, EVER. They also tried this nonsense previously by charging to have multiple tabs open, and it backfired wildly. ★★☆☆☆ _d · 28 Apr 2025 · v9.4.1App was an extraordinary option before requiring a monthly subscription if need access to very simple edits like add a page to a doc from another doc and the watermark is a a pain for free version which can make docs like filling in a form look suspect to those receiving it (that it was edited more than just data fields entered). I'd be open to a one-time fee, but the monthly subscription fee is ridiculous if using the editing functions more casually (vs team editing, etc.). ★☆☆☆☆ Stephanie Kang · 20 Sep 2023 · v8.5.6This used to be the best, even when the started charging for some feature, now not only have the started blocking previously free features, there is no notification that you are now using your One free Daily whatever. To make it worse, they've hidden where files are and I am no only able to open pdfs about half the time. I'd even be willing to pay a flat fee for use, but monthly or annual subscriptions is too much. ★★☆☆☆ Texas BEAST · 29 Jun 2023 · v8.5.1It works, but just barely. If you search for text in a pdf doc, you can't do anything with it. You can't go to those passages and annotate them or copy and paste them elsewhere. You just get a list of search hits. If you conduct a text search and go to a hit in View mode, and then switch to Annotate mode to highlight, you lose the text search hits, and you have to conduct the search all over again. ★★★☆☆ Matt · 11 Apr 2023 · v8.4.0It makes editing documents on the go possible but the subscription plan is a pure money grab. I don't ever subscribe to annual subscriptions to use software that runs locally on my device. The reason Microsoft gets away with that is you are paying for their cloud storage solution, Onedrive. Change your pricing model tp flat rate and you would have a deal. Edit: As of April 2023 periodically there are ads. ★★★☆☆ David Gross · 9 Dec 2022 · v8.2.4This used to be a favorite app: It's very fast, and it provides not just a one-item-at-a-time search, but also a show-all-hits search. However, some time ago open files started getting closed at unpredictable times with "Access permission error: Try to open this file from the original location again"; and more recently, the app limits me to 3 open tabs at once.
