All input data is completely anonymized and won't be collected without your permission. The keyboard collects your input so it can learn and adapt to your personal style (don't worry, you can toggle this feature on or off in settings). None of your passwords, contacts, credit card information or other sensitive data is being collected.
Reads, writes, and speaks like a native
The keyboard uses proprietary machine learning algorithms developed by Yandex in order to make appropriate suggestions as you type. Advanced predictive capabilities even let you receive suggestions for words you haven't typed yet. You can also suggest your own words and let the keyboard adapt to the way you talk, or just forgo the feature altogether.

This happens because it downloads language data and sets up its dictionaries. Within a few days, background activity will decrease, and battery usage will return to normal.

For example, ill type the word 'dead' and it will change it to 'dred'. If I type the word 'Rhino', it changes the word to 'Rinestone' which isn't a word. And if I type fast it just can't handle it, every other keyboard works fine but this.Developer reply · 1 Oct 2026Type the word and use it — for example, send it in a message or press Enter in the search bar. Over time, it will start appearing in the suggestions.

When you uninstall Yandex Keyboard, the clipboard is completely cleared, including fragments saved in Favorites. To avoid losing this information, transfer it to another place.
