I would give it a 5 but its to many ads and it's really annoying .

This is not a free music app. You have to pay for each song that you are listening. Besides this app cannot recognize your folders and stored music.
3. ★★★☆☆ Lauren Flippin · 12 Aug 2026 · v201.46
This used to be the greatest music app! I've had it for years! Suddenly it stopped working. I had to reinstall and now it no longer allows playover so I cant do anything else on my phone while listening. Also I can no longer skip through songs from my steering wheel radio controls. Lastly there are far more ads than there used to be!
4. ★★★★★ Erica Croyle · 8 Aug 2026 · v201.46
I love the app but it use to be able to play while you did other stuff with your phone, even though I have it set to play over everything else it still stops the music any time I do anything else. this is the second time. it's done this before then was fixed. I miss listening to music while I scrolled FB, used GPS, took pics etc and any time I delete a song from my playlist it never deletes, it says please try later and I have to add another list bc mines sitting full at 500 lol
5. ★★★★★ Javier Torres · 19 Jul 2026 · v201.41

I use to love this app. An older version on my galaxy note 9 (which recently died, very bummed) anyway the latest version sucks comparatively, in the old version if pulled music from YouTube, not vevo. You had more options, like more info on a song & similar songs, more by the artist from the album song was from. It also played over other apps. This version doesn't. Stops the moment you do anything else, I. E. Add the song to a Playlist. Ugh! Not very satisfying music experience anymore.

Hi there, regarding background playback, we follow YouTube’s terms of service, which limits certain playback functions, including how audio continues when switching apps. We truly appreciate your support and feedback, and we’ll keep working to improve the experience moving forward.

I loved this app before, when you could use coins to be add free. It was amazing and I had so many saved. I've been trying to deal and just make it through the ads but when working out it has got to be the worst in my headphones after nearly ever two songs. I'm a creature of habit and I love when things aren't broken not to fix it. This has been like this for awhile and I was trying to stick it through but I can't. I have to go to Spotify or anything that allows an ad free experience.

Hello, if you mean the ads in the video, those are posted by YouTube, so we can't control them. We will continue to search for better ways to give you experience, thank you for your understanding!
8. ★★☆☆☆ Jessika Andre · 19 Jul 2024 · v201.29
Does not play in the background, so everything can interrupt your listening. No longer allows access to the car controls, so you're stuck using the phone if you want to skip a song, advance or go back, etc., which is dangerous while driving. This app has gotten worse from the time I was introduced to it 10 years ago. You'd think it should improve, not go backwards!
   Developer reply · 26 Jul 2024

Hi Jessika, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, YouTube’s terms prevent us from using background music. As for the car control feature, our team will review it and make improvements.

I had this app for years and love it. I had to switch phones and lost all my Playlists. Bummer but okay. Now, it won't play through my car without skipping every second. I can no longer rearrange the order of my Playlist without deleting songs and re-downloading them. I am going to have to find another music app that lets me listen in my car, though. That is my breaking point. 💔
10. ★★★☆☆ Xavier Mack · 2 Mar 2023 · v201.21
I have been using this app since 2016 or so when it was Mixerbox lite. Worked great, but then, songs started glitching when I minimized the app. Now, all my playlists are gone that I've created since 2016 or 2017! It could have something to do with the Facebook login being unavailable, so I tried logging in with the email associated with my FB account, and all the playlists are still missing.
    Developer reply · 3 Mar 2023

Hello, If you are login with your Facebook, this may be due to the current Facebook login issue. Please try using your “Facebook account email” to log in to retrieve your playlists. If you’re still experiencing connection issues after switching to email login, please contact us with MixerBox Facebook page. Sorry for your inconvenience. Thank you!
