   Removing the ability to choose a country without paying is genuinely insane. It was the only reason anybody used your app and now it will just rot in the playstore. Edit: Wow. You mean the things that at least 10 other free vpns do? Again, the whole point of using a VPN is to hide your ip to a different country. It would be different if your paid plans were a few bucks, but no, its 10 dollars, twice the price of your competitors who offer more benefits on top.

   used to work ok, except it would log me out all the time. not the worse until recently when it won't even let me log back in through Android. I clear data & cache, stay off wifi, good connection and can log in fine on my PC but the apk just doesn't want to work. they updated again recently but still the same constant "oops, something went wrong! please try again later." I tried their support but they told me to just change the settings in app. hello! I can't log in, so how's that going to help?

   App hasn't been very stable recently. Sometimes I can connect and it works fine, other times it gets caught in an infinite loop of "Grrrr something went wrong" so I close and restart the app only to get the same error. The only fix for the problem is to uninstall and reinstall the app. This happens about once a month.

   Not worth it, works ok the first time but its not truly free. lets you use it once or twice before forcing you to get a subscription. it will tell you that you have 2000 to use for free before needing to make a subscription but wont actually let you use more then a couple hundred of that without making a subscription. its unfortunate since I did have the intention of subscribing if I liked the services after using that initial 'free' amount. but with being forced now. I will not be.

   Dont use. The app has worked up until this point, it has been buggy and broken and terrible but it has worked. it now no longer works it will connect without saying it connected but won't have a connection to the internet it won't connect and says it's connected and still doesn't have a connection to the internet. Your internet's not getting through because they're watching you.

   May 2026 Update: I've been using this app for 9 years with a recurring annual subscription. After updating my app earlier this week, all instances of the app are treating me like a free customer with a data limit and no choice of tunnels. Logging into the site shows my annual sub, which has 3 months left and is set to renew, as active but does not fix the issue in actual USE. I'm literally paying for services I am not receiving.

   Very useful VPN...when it works. Lately it keeps dropping and I have to reinstall the whole thing to get it to work, and even then it doesn't always work. No idea what happened, but it's really annoying. Edit: They made connecting even temporarily to basically any other country a premium feature, making this app functionally useless for me, as I used it to log in to a game. I will have to pay for a premium vpn, but it won't be this useless trash app. Thanks for nothing, tunnelbear.

   Great when it works, but it's an extremely inconsistent service. My biggest issue is the lack of feedback when it's having trouble connecting Some form of error message would make that easier to deal with. I've also run into issues where it will tell me I'm connected to a server, yet my IP information remains the same. Paid for a month, but cancelled the subscription not long after signing up.

   Nice when it works, but it usually doesn't. Connecting is a struggle and can take 10+ attempts over half an hour, if it ever works at all. Edit to specify: It'll fail to connect after hitting the button and stay "disconnected". Eventually toggling itself off after about 5 minutes. Never establishing a connection. Trying again for 30+ minutes is the only fix and just hoping it sorts itself out. Restarting the app, your phone, and so on does not help.

    Works well on my laptop but recently stopped working on my Android phone unless I uninstall it, reinstall it, re-enter the PW, etc. every time I went to use it. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of it but it has been a few weeks. (Edit) Thanks for suggesting to contact the support folks; I had in fact already done so about a month earlier.
