Yes they give you first 3 days for free after signing up, hoping you forget to cancel. Knowing nobody pays so much for a translation app when there is bunch of them for free like Google lens

★☆☆☆☆ A S · 28 May 2021 · v2.6.3Downloaded just to warn users after seeing the ad for this app on YouTube. I speak Japanese and even in the ad they show the app mis-translating a stop sign. They translate it into やめる (Yameru) which mean to quit something instead of 止まる (tomaru) to stop. If they can't get it right in their advertising a doubt there's much hope for this app.

As soon as i opened the app there was only the ad to buy its premium version. No exit, no way to use it without even trying the trial, and no warning. I didn't have the money, so i uninstalled and saw the low reviews. How am i supposed to know how well this translator works without using it a bit?

★☆☆☆☆ Keira Gibson · 18 Mar 2021This app is horrible. I couldn't even use the app because of its "free" three day trial. It didn't have an x button so I could close the free trial screen. I am 16 and don't have a job yet so I can't pay for it. It kept asking me for my information, and I tried to close out of the app itself and I didn't work. I had to go to the recently opened apps screen on my phone just to close it out. It seemed like a really good idea at first, but then when it didn't work, it was a real let-down. 0 rating.

It wasn't even the color of a car tire.. every time I tried to take a picture of ANYTHING else it just would load an ad and go back to the camera again but wouldn't tell me what it was. This app is a waste of time and energy. It's sad because it was a really good and useful idea. Too bad they just didn't deliver what they promised. They are just sucking money out of people trying the app while getting $$

Here the thing though, you will never be able to open the app. Right then and there is when they have you in a corner to charge you the crazy amount of money they think they deserve. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS TRAP!

I put this in 2 star because even though the translation makes little to no sense sometimes, it's still somewhat useful. Like either tone down the price by a decent amount or make it so you can translate in every language for free. This app is worse than my grandma trying to make a 50km run. This app is a great example as to why you should check the reviews before installing.

When I finally exit the 'Subscribe Now' pop up screen (which is a pain to get rid of), I get bombarded with disruptive ads that is forces me to watch at least 5 seconds of each one. And you'd think it ends there? No! The cycle continues again with the 'Subscribe Now' pop up. Why should I subscribe, or even give feedback, if I can't use it in the first place? The subscription fee is way too high, and the trail is only a mere 3 days? -_-

Do not even download unless you want to pay for it without trying it. It says 3 day free trial, but you cannot activate without a card. Of course if you forget to cancel in 3 days it will auto charge you. ★☆☆☆☆ Staci Zallaha · 6 Jun 2020 · v2.0.26Don't download! Scam! I downloaded it and it is NOT FREE. Says it is until you download and open it. Then it says to try the premium version, and gives you an "Option" for a thee day free trial but WON'T LET YOU OPT OUT OF THE PREMIUM OR CLOSE OUT OF THE APP UNLESS YOU CONNECT YOUR GOOGLE PAY ACCOUNT. I had to shut down my phone and remove the app manually because it wouldn't go away. Zero stars should be an option.
