Description
Face it: follow through, don't avoid.
Face it is self-help training for people with panic attacks and anxiety. Every day you practice one small confrontation with exactly the situations you avoid: the train, the supermarket, meeting people. Panic help is always free. Face it does not replace therapy.
Fear doesn't shrink when you run from it. It shrinks when you stay and check what really happens. That's exactly what Face it trains you to do, one step a day.
How Face it works:
• Panic help, always free: don't run, name your fear, stay two minutes, check what really happened
• Your daily session (5 to 10 minutes): check-in, one short lesson, one confrontation from your fear ladder
• Expectation check: Before every confrontation you write down what you fear most. Afterwards you see in black and white whether it happened. Your evidence adds up
• Your fear ladder: five rungs from "barely uncomfortable" to "the thing you really avoid," built around your fear together with your coach. If a rung doesn't fit your life, you say so and get one that does
• Your avoidance level (0 to 10): it only drops when you move
• Fixed appointment: you pick the time for your next session, and Face it reminds you of your next step
• 28 short lessons on fear, panic in the body, avoidance and confrontation. Honest instead of soothing
• Videos from Sergej, the founder: why calming feeds fear, what happens before your first confrontation, and "coach in your pocket" for moments like "I want to cancel" or "Is this really just anxiety?"
• Your coach in the chat: knows your ladder, your evidence and your appointment, asks questions and steers you to the next step instead of reassuring you
Who is Face it for?
For people with panic attacks, social anxiety, fear of exams, presentations, driving, crowds or confined spaces. In short: for anyone who notices that avoiding makes their life smaller.
What makes Face it different:
Most apps want to calm you down. Face it gets you moving. The method behind it is confrontation in small steps, the approach behavioral therapy has used for decades. Face it isn't therapy and doesn't replace it, but it makes sure you take one step every day.
