Description

The FOIS (Functional Oral Intake Scale) is a scoring tool to rate oral intake of food and liquid in adult patients with dysphagia (swallowing difficulty). The FOIS is a validated tool applicable to a wide range of health conditions contributing to swallowing difficulty. This app automatically identifies the correct FOIS level based on clinician’s yes/no responses to a few questions. The FOIS is widely recognized as a valuable and unique part of the clinical examination of swallowing function in adults.
