Previous review was 5/5 but after years of use I suddenly can no longer create folders or move files. Tried reinstalling, granting all file access permissions. Nothing seems to work on it anymore.

  • ★☆☆☆☆ Mark O'Neill · 1 Oct 2026 · v8.15.3
since update set 26 app no longer works. can browse files but cannot edit or move. all permissions set ok and uninstalled reinstalled but nothing, cannot open files from astro. It's been my main file manager for years. I even paid to remove any ads but now completely useless. My android version hasn't changed, still on 15 so not sure why the app stopped accessing files

  • ★☆☆☆☆ dmc5001 · 30 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
I've used this app for years but it has recently stopped working, such that it will not let me change file names, delete files, or even open files, all of which are things that any file manager should easily be able to do! Uninstalled , which is a real shame because I've used it for years 😕
  • ★★★★★ Mahesh Chandra · 30 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
Excellent application. Better than most other file managers.
  • ★★★☆☆ Jan Hicks · 30 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
This has been an easy to use app for managing files stored on my phone and SD card over the years. Occasionally there are bugs. Currently the app won't let me open or move files, making it a bit pointless. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ A Google user · 30 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
Used it for years with no issues then, for no known reason, just stopped working. Can't rename, move, or delete files. Reinstalled the app and same issue.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ Gabriel Delatorre · 30 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
What is going on with this app? Why does it refuse to open anything all of the sudden? You better fix this problem now or I will never use this application ever again! Do you understand!?
  • ★☆☆☆☆ Paul Corriveau · 29 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
after the latest update, won't open any files.
  • ★☆☆☆☆ David Bradee · 29 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
The best file manager I've found so far. update: since it is now owned by Sensor Rower the app doesn't open files anymore. Sensor Tower only cares about gathering marketing data, not app functionality. sad.
  • ★★☆☆☆ Ed DiRuzza · 29 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
    not opening files anymore
  • ★★★★★ A Google user · 29 Sep 2026 · v8.15.3
I've been using Astro for goodness knows how many years and never had an issue. I no longer root my phones so I don't know if there are some functions that I don't have anymore, but that was an Android rule not Astro. I don't know why it's scoring so low now, but it's one of my must haves every time I get a new phone.
