    Had to reinstall the app, then cannot verify my number as it cannot send sms. Over 3 weeks the issue is not fixed. No email option to verify, and with broken sms from their side, this is literally broken and if this happens this is totally unreliable as main messaging app. Support does not exist, no replay other then the AI. COMPLETELY useless. Don't bother.

    The app is no longer the super-safe messaging app it became known for. As for its functionality, there is a lot to be desired. I used the PC version a few years back and quit it. I downloaded the app a few weeks ago; another disappointment! 1. Allow me at least the option to choose whether I want media automatically downloaded to my device if I want. 2. Is it me, or you cannot access messaging while on a signal call? And if not why not? 3. I opted for notifications ON. But I never got any!

    2026 - lag issue persists. I'm done with Signal. The lag that occurs when trying to send/receive messages - when it happens, it's at the worst times. The devs barely acknowledge it and say it's the users' fault, even though it happens across multiple devices and various types of networks, even when the devices are on the same network. But yeah totally not the app's issue at all.

    They ask for a donation if "I like the new feature" and I don't like them. Charging to backup? For what? If the data/media resides on my device, what costs are they recouping? Monetizing data like all the rest. Years ago, I got Signal because it let me choose the colors I wanted, was free, and it didn't have fru fru shi+. The security was a bonus that has become bothersome. Now they want PINs, profile names, other stuff, and it has all the childish features of any other messaging app.

    Very happy. Still under review. But " out of the box" new, its awesome. still very happy a little difficult to transfer from phone to phone but I love it. cannot change from one device to another erases all of your history and your settings when you reset your password I find this very frustrating no longer using signal. I loaded up on it once I thought it was my fault but it's just the way the app works you'll lose everything don't waste your time

    Things just keep getting worse and worse for Signal over the years. Now, it requires location access in order to transfer your Signal from your old phone to a new phone. As if I didn't have enough reasons to suspect this app was a honeypot before. Reality check... if your Signal account uses an unhashed link to your mobile phone number, and has access to your contacts, and has access to your location... it is not "Private" in any way, shape, or form.
