協康會自2011年開始，於美國引進SCERTS(Social Communication, Emotional Regulation, Transactional Support)綜合教育模式，並進行本地化調適，透過跨專業團隊協作及家居支援，致力增強自閉症兒童主動溝通及參與活動的動機，及提升兒童處理情緒及面對困難的應變能力。

《知情解意》應用程式以SCERTS理念為基礎，旨在為同工及家長提供易於使用的電子化支援工具，以配合兒童日常流程及訓練需要時使用。其內容主要分為：

視覺提示工具: 包括日程表、工作程序、計時器、輪候表、工作清單、選擇表、視覺提示卡等

情緒調節錦囊: 包括我的心情、情緒面面觀、情緒小故事、情緒調節秘笈、情緒舒緩小遊戲等，透過有趣的動畫及吸引的遊戲，讓兒童認識情緒及調節情緒的方法。

使用者可因應需要選擇廣東話／普通話、繁體／簡體中文，此應用程式並附有繪圖工具，方便使用者按需要增加及設定圖片。

為達至更佳的訓練效果，建議使用者同時參閱本會出版的《知情解意SCERTS綜合教育模式應用手冊》。此書詳細介紹SCERTS的理論、本地化實踐步驟及應用範例，讓業界同工及家長能全面地學習支援自閉症兒童的具體策略。隨書附有光碟，內有情緒圖卡、情緒動畫及相關的教具資源(包括: 輪候表、常規提示卡、課室時間表圖卡)，方便讀者能按需要靈活地下載及列印使用。
