Description
10kHockey counts the pucks.
The players who get better are the ones who shoot in the driveway on a Tuesday in November. 10kHockey exists to count those shots and keep the number in front of the player, the parent and the coach.
A session takes about ten seconds to log. Pick a shot type, tap a number, save. No keyboard, no date picker, no menus.
The career total never resets. Not at the end of a season, not when a player changes teams. Badges land at 100, 250, 500, 1,000 and on up the road to 10,000, and they are never taken away, not by a correction and not by a bad month.
FOR COACHES
The roster is sorted by who needs a nudge rather than who is ahead. You see volume by week, the shot types the team is quietly avoiding, and who has stalled, before it becomes a conversation in March about why someone stopped enjoying it.
FOR FAMILIES
One parent holds the account and both households can follow the same player. The daily reminder only fires on days nothing has been logged, and it goes to an adult's phone. Three notifications exist in total and each can be turned off.
HOW ACCESS WORKS
There is no public signup, and that is deliberate. An association is set up first, its administrator creates the teams and invites each coach, and coaches invite parents by email or by reading out a team code at the rink.
PRIVACY
The adult holds the account. A player is a profile carrying a first name, a last initial, and optionally a jersey number and position. We never ask for and have nowhere to store a player's email address, phone number, home address, date of birth or photograph. No advertising, no third-party analytics, no tracking, nothing shared with anyone. A parent can delete a player, or their whole account, at any time from inside the app.
Associations are licensed per player and invoiced directly. There is nothing to buy inside the app.
