STL View is an offline STL viewer, OBJ viewer, 3MF viewer and 3D model viewer for iOS. Open, inspect and share STL, OBJ or 3MF files for 3D printing and CAD-export workflows without uploading your models or creating an account.

WORKING WITH 3MF

3MF is the 3D Manufacturing Format written by most modern slicers and CAD tools. STL View reads the geometry inside a 3MF package so you can check a part before you print it:

Real-world units are read from the file, so dimensions are exact without choosing a unit
Modifier meshes and negative volumes are left out, so what you see is the part itself
A 3MF that holds only print data, such as G-code, says so instead of opening empty
Print settings, plates, thumbnails, colours and materials inside a 3MF are not read

LOCAL AND PRIVACY-FOCUSED

Your models are processed locally on your device. STL View does not upload your model files, filenames, paths, geometry, dimensions or triangle counts to a cloud service, advertising provider or analytics platform.

No account or registration is required. Recent-file copies and preferences remain on your device and can be removed from the app.

RESPECTFUL VIEWING EXPERIENCE

STL View keeps the 3D model at the center of the experience. The app does not use timed, interstitial or full-screen advertising flows. When advertising is enabled, only a banner may appear after a model is ready.

STL - binary and ASCII
OBJ - geometry only
3MF - geometry only, with units read from the file

OBJ material libraries, textures and sidecar files are not loaded. Colours, materials and print settings stored in a 3MF are not loaded. Native CAD formats such as STEP, STP, IGES, IGS, Parasolid, SOLIDWORKS and Fusion files are not supported. Export those models to STL, geometry-only OBJ or 3MF before opening them.

STL View is designed for viewing and inspection. It does not edit, repair, slice, convert or print models. Complex meshes may be displayed using a clearly identified reduced-detail preview.
