PHARMACY TECH PREP: PASS YOUR PTCE AND EARN YOUR CPhT

The PTCE has a 55 to 60 percent first-attempt pass rate. Candidates who fail are most often weak on sig code interpretation, days supply calculations, and federal drug regulations. These are also the most heavily tested areas on the ExCPT from NHA.

SIG CODE TRANSLATOR

200 plus sig codes organized by category. Route codes: PO, SL, TOP, IV, IM, SQ, OPH, INH. Frequency codes: QD, BID, TID, QID, QHS, PRN, Q4H, Q6H, Q12H. Timing codes: AC (before meals), PC (after meals), HS (at bedtime), STAT (immediately), UD (as directed). Quantity codes: qs, ss, disp.
