Description
The application called “JBT - JARDIM BOTÂNICO TROPICAL” is composed of four thematic tours that use augmented reality and multimedia experiences:
• “Trees you must see”, where the most emblematic trees of the Garden are identified;
• “Garden with History”, in which the visitor is invited to discover the multiple historical periods of this space, which dates back to the 17th century;
• "Birds", which allows you to discover the most common bird species in the Garden;
• “Biosensors”, from which the public can get to know the natural diversity that this space has to offer.
This application is available in four languages (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish) and was developed as part of a project by the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, involving partners from the Faculty of Sciences of ULisboa (Departments of Informatics, Animal Biology, Plant Biology and Geographic Engineering, Geophysics and Energy) and the National Museum of Natural History and Science at ULisboa.
