Description

Welcome to Beach Siege!

Below you'll find a small "how to" with high level information about how to play and navigate the game. I hope you enjoy!

MENU
Leaderboard - This is a global leaderboard that shows high scores for each of the available difficulties. If you don't choose a user-name you'll be using the "Default" name which is shared across all users who don't specify a name.

Username - This name is how you show up on the leaderboards, as well as how your name shows up when you are playing in online matches.

Campaign - 4 difficulty modes where you can earn Mint (which is used to purchase upgrades to towers and unlock new tower factions) as well as get your score in the global leaderboards.

Online VS - VS mode is where you go head to head with another online player. You are responsible for both sending units for them to fight as well as building towers to defend against the units that they send you. (known issue- when you finish a vs mode match, your "income" will never change on the final screen)

Online Co-Op - Here you will work WITH another online player to conquer the traditional 30 waves from the campaign mode, however the enemies are much more challenging.

Factions - From this screen you can browse your Tower Factions, unlock new factions by spending Mint earned from Campaign Mode, or spend Mint to upgrade all towers within a faction by 1 level.

GAMEPLAY
After starting a match you will be prompted to select a faction. You will only have your unlocked factions visible to you. The percentage bar under the faction name is a way to view your completion of upgrades for the towers within that faction (each tower can go up to level 50).

After selecting a faction the match will start. You must build towers to defend your ship from the impending waves of enemies (the timer in the top left tells you when the next wave is due).

Build towers by selecting them from your list of available towers and tapping a square, if you regret your placement you have 3 seconds to refund that tower for the full price after which it can be sold for 75% of its original cost.

To sell or refund towers, select them by tapping them and click the "sell" or "refund" button in the bottom right. You can also upgrade the tower (if eligible) by clicking the button in the top right.

Selecting a tower shows the range in a circle around it, as well as information about how it performs in combat. Each kill awards that tower type some XP, when a certain type of tower gains enough XP ALL towers of that type will level up and increase their range and base damage.

Bosses come every 5 waves. They will do 3 things:
1. Spawn Bomb, these bombs need to be tapped on or they will destroy towers near them
2. Spawn Enemies, these enemies are much stronger than their regular counterparts
3. Spawn Healing Zones, nothing to be done about these, but enemies who walk through them gain 10% of their health back.
