Description

This app has been created for medical providers to quickly verify and treat a pediatric patient in DKA. Users will enter Patient’s weight and laboratory data that will guide them to enter the correct orders in the EMR. It will calculate the appropriate fluids, insulin management, and remind users on appropriate monitoring parameters. Furthermore, it will guide users on how to wean off insulin drip, transition to sliding scale insulin, and when to discharge from the ICU or intermediate care unit.
