Grim London explores the streets of modern-day London for traces dramatic events that took place between the 13th and 20th centuries. It focuses both on the events of national importance and on the dramas of ordinary, unremarkable people - people who are not mentioned in the history textbooks and to whom no academic works are dedicated.
Grim London includes:
● Map of London with more than 130 locations linked to the events and participants
featured in the app. Each location has a description of what happened at this particular
spot, what was there in the past or is located there at present time.
● Pages with full length articles for every event - each page includes photographs taken in
modern London and archival materials (drawings, engravings, etc) that picture people, buildings, or objects putting the story in context.
● Most of the locations featured in Grim London can be viewed in photorealistic 3D projection with guided flyovers. You can freely rotate / magnify / tilt the view.
