EDUWEB PARENTS is the mobile App for www.eduweb.co.ke - a platform that links schools with parents for easy and effective communication.

The APP include provides access to information stored in the main portal registered by their child's school. The App is used to view the following information available in the portal:

Information on academic performance
o Teachers give their comments and recommendations after accessing the child in each of the subjects. Challenges and milestones are reported regularly and the parent, teacher and child work as a team to ensure there is progress all round

Activity updates
o Class and outdoor activities make a big part of school life and parents are interested in knowing what their children have been up to. This forms part of the discussion as the family share meals after a long day

Class assignments
o Teachers post assignments and parents can view the same via the App so they are aware of what the child is meant to work on before they get home and they can engage and assist if need be

Important school alerts
o Parents will not miss important school events e.g. sports, concerts, environment, teacher parent interactions and others since they will be notified early enough and confirm on attendance

Access to photos and videos
o A picture is worth a million words, teachers take and send photos to parents, of their children playing games, singing to their favorite songs, dancing, painting, performing poems, parents love to see these photo and videos

Details of fees and balances
o Parents can view all information regarding fees i.e. invoices raised, payments made, balances and they can also generate statements

Medical updates e.g. allergies
o Now and then when children get unwell, they may be required to carry medication to school; Eduweb Parents App enables the parent to easily give instructions on how the medicine should be administered. Any updates on child’s medical status can also be posted e.g. any allergies that come up

Concerns and emergencies
o In cases where a teacher notices strange behaviors, they can communicate to the parent with an aim to assist the child. Emergency alerts can also be sent e.g. if there is an accident in school, however this should be done within laid out school policies

Childs profile
o The parent can view their child’s profile information as captured in the school database e.g. the family information , profile picture, emergency contact given and if there are any changes to be done they can have the school capture the correct details

Observations
o We want our children to have a balanced school life i.e. socially, spiritually, physically and academically. A lot of time is spent in school and teachers make important observations which they then communicate to the parents. Encouragement is crucial when the child is nurturing talents and when things are going wrong then the teacher and parent can work hand in hand to help sort the issue

Teacher parent feedback
o A teacher can communicate to a single parent, a group of parents or an entire class. Privacy is critical and therefore a message intended for a particular parent will only go to that specific one and non other. Same thing applies to the other groupings

Reports
o Parents can view and download academic progress reports, invoices, receipts and statements

Secure, unique parents log ins
o Each parent has their own unique login credentials. They can change passwords frequently as they wish

Eduweb Parents App can be activated only by the parents who have been granted access by the relevant school.
