CCB 当代译本圣经是继CUVS 简体和合本和CUV 和合本后，我们推出的第3个中文版本圣经。
CCB当代译本圣经是由Biblica提供。顾名思义，“当代译本”是面对当代的中文使用者。这一版本的翻译和修订使用了现代化而又平实的语言，反映了汉语的变化，能更好地满足年轻一代，儿童和慕道友的需求。一个年轻人在和一个翻译同工分享他的使用经验时说，“这圣经说在我的心上，因为它就像用我的母语来讲述神的话语！”。Biblica已用DVD的格式制作了新约圣经和使徒行传。有关语音版的新约也在推出中。
現代中文譯本文字較和合本更符合現代漢語使用習慣，也參考較新聖經考古學成果，以及對照聯合聖經公會審訂的古希伯來文、希臘文標準版新舊約聖經的原文來修正了和合本的一些錯誤翻譯，不少教友都會拿現代中文譯本作為比對的參考，以幫助理解經文。但一般而言，由於官話版和合本聖經的歷史悠久，已在教友間產生了根深蒂固的權威性，現代中文譯本在教會依舊無法成為足以取代和合本的標準華語版本。
