مسالك، موقع يتبع المركز العربي للأدب الجغرافي، صاحب فكرته ومؤسسه ومموله والمشرف عليه هو الأستاذ الشاعر محمد أحمد السويدي. يهدف إلى إعادة اكتشاف المكان وحضارته وحاضره، وما اتصل به من أحداث ووقائع وحكايات وشخصيات وسلوك وإنتاج فكري وجهد عملي، بطريقة جديدة تسعى عبر المزج بين الوسائط المتعددة، المقروءة والمسموعة والمصورة والمرئية، بما تتضمنه من مواد مكتوبة وصور فوتوغرافية وملفات صوتية وخرائط، ومن خلال الاستفادة من التطوير الثاني لشبكة المعلومات الدولية الذي عرف مؤخراً بـتقنية web 2، إلى إحداث عملية تفاعل متبادل بين المكان وبين الفنون والآداب والعلوم والمعارف التي ارتبطت به. ويهدف موقع المسالك من هذه التجربة، التي تعد في طور النمو، إلى إعادة صياغة المعلومة بطريقة تفاعلية حديثة تأخذ في الحسبان العلاقة الوثيقة والمشتركة بين الجغرافيا والتاريخ والمجتمع، بحيث يتم إجراء عملية تصنيف وفهرسة مختلفة للمعلومات، تتناسب ومواصفات هذه التقنية الحديثة التي تكاد تعد ثورة في مجال الإنترنت.
