Samsung My Files is a highly useful, as well as functional app, free (and ad-free!), easy and intuitive to use, with various file search and folder storage features and options. With English language entry text it works without problems on Samsung Galaxy A5xx Android smartphones (Android version 16, One UI 8.5) being fast and responsive. I highly recommend it to Galaxy smartphone owners/users of the brand.

The latest version is too bright I cannot use it at night, it's even too bright during the day text not visible at all. It doesn't have a dark mode feature. I cannot be expected to charge my whole phone theme because of this app. I prefer the old version, or you must give me the option of dark mode

It was used to be a great app but now it SUCKS BIG TIME!!!! I can't search folder With name. It doesn't show folders now, So if you have folder inside another folder and you don't remember it, good luck searching every folder one by one!!

In My Files app version 15.4.09.5 and OneUl 8.5 the new recent preview list does not always update. But if I tap the > and go into the full list and then back or close and open My Files the files show up. Also noticed a few times if I take a picture and delete it then open up My Files the image is still there. If I close /open My Files it disappears. it doesn't happen in version 15.4.07.30. Samsung developer, please rectify this problem.

I am unable to share or save any files directly to Samsung Files through WhatsApp or any other apps. This functionality is available in other file manager apps such as Google Files, OnePlus Files, Mi File Manager, etc. Kindly look into this issue and fix it as soon as possible.

    1. Too many errors workin with ftp server. 2. If you're gonna make a pdf viewer then do it right. Because now PDFs open by default in your new bad viewer. Even when I choose open with different app then choose "always", it doesn't work for all PDFs and still goes back to your built-in bad PDF-viewer
  • ★★★☆☆ Damaine Threatt · 19 Jul 2026 · v15.4.09.5
Duplicate files needs a feature where you "select all new" or "select all old" files. Would save a lot of time instead of tapping each individual file. Also, synching with Google drive needs work. Lastly, the "search folder only" mechanic is spotty. Especially with Google drive files. With the last two, I'm constantly having to resynch the files.

This app. sucks like some of the other reviewers have said. If I could I would give it a zero. Need to go back to the file manager of a few years ago that showed file folders. Can't find files easily like we used to. No download or music folder. Need to use another file manager.
