I originally used Microsoft Math Solver but when Microslop took it down I switched to Mathway and am very happy with it. Highly recommended!

I really like Mathway because it is fast and easy to use. However, many students cannot afford the premium version. It would be great if Mathway allowed users to unlock detailed step-by-step solutions by watching ads sometimes. This could help students learn better while still supporting the company through advertisements. I think this feature would make more students stay with Mathway and appreciate the app even more.

new "do not sell my info" button was added, which it's nice to see you have that option but it's sitting directly where the solution to the problem is and can not be moved, i literally can not see the answers to my problems because of this thing. 1 star until this is moved or fixed edit: it's been removed, thank goodness, 5 stars again

Very helpful. Although, if I snap and after submitting just keep loading... help, issue.
  • ★★★★☆ Kraken umbreon · 11 Feb 2026 · v6.7.0
infuriating with the new button "DO NOT SELL MY DATA" that covers up the answer/solution, like, out of all the spots to put it, you had to put the button on top of the answer your supposed to be providing me, might as well just go back to college and learn how to do it myself

Mathway is such a life saver! Algebra is a difficult subject for me and this has made it so much easier for me! I like how it gives you the option on how to solve the equation and the results are always accurate, correct, and trustworthy! It also shows you a breakdown of how to solve the equation so next time you can attempt to solve the problem yourself! I would 100% recommend for high schoolers to use this app! It cuts the time you spend doing math in half. Bonus: no adds ever!

This app is an absolute life changer for me. I am using the free version and so far it's given me what I needed to really get by. I'm seriously considering the paid version for a few reasons. 1.) The free version was considerate enough to not throw adds in there. At least none I've seen yet. I appreciate that and makes me want to spend my money with them. 2.) I can see where having the paid version will be handy with seeing the steps. I was thinking math was an impossible nightmare util now.

This app is amazing. Also, I like that I can say bye, hi, goodnight, and some other things to it. It makes it easier to ask the calculator questions. Also, the graph is great, especially since I can zoom into it or follow the line to more space of the graph. Truly a work of art. I have three other calculators on my phone and I don't use any of them as much as I use this one.

Taking online math classes is HARD!! My professor is using a very great platform to teach but when it's time to do it on my own I still need a little help. Mathway does give me the solution, the correct one every time. But more importantly it shows me how it got that solution! (After a short ad video). This is only my 2nd week of class but I'm very reliant on this being my little pocket tutor!

This is amazing. I'm doing statistics in 7th grade at the moment so obviously it's going to be a lil difficult. But, Mathway comes in clutch. It gives you choices between the types of math, gives you all the different symbols to use, gives you many choices to how you want the problem solved, gives you very quick and simplified answers, gives you all the different ways you can show the answer, and lets you see the process of solving it (if you watch an ad). And this is free? Truly amazing. 10/10.

Really great math calculator. It gives you multiple different ways to solve equations (for example finding out if it is polynomial or not, then same equation on finding the degree). Plus when you can take a picture of the equation and not have to type it in, which makes putting the equations in soooo much easier. It's really good for online assignments as you don't have to write the work on 'how you did it', but I think you get to watch videos to get the work, I'm not sure. Anywho, great app!

I really like this app! You can take pictures of your math problem and it'll give you the answer. Even though it doesn't register word problems when taking a picture, you can write your word problem out numerically as an equation or something and it'll register that way. Great app, regardless! If you want to see all of the steps for working out your problem, you'd need to sign up and pay for premium access. I did because I'm taking college algebra and it's been a huge help already! Worth it!
